Most "smart" mirrors start with a camera. Early in Glamir's hardware journey, we built that version too—a tri-fold vanity mirror prototype with an integrated camera meant to pair with the Glamir app for shade matching, routine guidance, and live feedback while you get ready.

What the prototype explored

Why we pivoted to camera-free

The prototype proved the lighting and app pairing worked. It also clarified something important: the mirror people want at their vanity should not watch or record them. We removed the camera, microphone, and speaker from the product we ship today—the Glamir Tri-fold—and kept the parts that mattered: premium Glamir Light, precise CCT control, and a calm Bluetooth link to your phone.
